Strategy and market intelligence

DLC’s experts can drill into various data sources to gather market intelligence, and work out the suitable business plans based on the project’s needs.

The market study includes data scraping across social media platforms to learn consumer preferences, drilling into industry reports to review winners & losers, studying the security and investment reports to find out investor’s view on the industry, including pros and cons of the reports, and reviewing media and industry professional’s rankings and reviews, to get to rising stars in the industry, i.e. most popular chef, well received coffee master, etc.

DLC works out business plans based on the above in-depth market study and collected data. DLC can also act as an on-going advisor to monitor the execution of each plan.

Concept Development and implementation

DLC will undertake the creation of a strategic document outlining the logical pathway and assessment for the viability of an F&B development or product. 

It is often necessary to be able to hear and articulate the vision of ownership, and translate this into a deck and/or document that helps to align the execution team, other consultants and stakeholders. The process of confirmation for this body of work also creates validation of the proposed concepts and direction. We offer both a light market study and positioning statement with recommendations, as well as heavier, in-depth studies to help developers and operators think ahead and plan with data. 

DLC can act as an extension of your team, working to fill in the gaps, or can take on the role of project management and implementing any stage of a given project. We are very well versed in working alongside key team members to be the professional support needed to augment the timing and cost of a full-time team.

Design

Based on the agreed concept, DLC develops project space in detail, including overall form, general material intent, space plans, furniture plans and visual imagery as per agreement. 

The design package will also facilitate the project architect, lighting designer, and MEP engineering consultants to complete their documents for review, comment & approval. During the construction documentation phase, DLC will prepare millwork, finish specifications and a complete loose fixture/custom furniture FF&E package for pricing and tendering. 

At the construction stage, our primary role is to advise, assist and monitor so that the design intent is met, and that the final fit-out is carried out in accordance with the design documentation and specification at the required quality levels.

In the situation where the client chooses to appoint another design consultant for the project, we are able to provide supervision and coordination services, to ensure the final design will not deviate from the original concept, which is critical to the operation. 

Maintenance & Repair

Leveraging our extensive experience, DLC can step into any operation that needs a revamp or level up. 

From reshaping a new concept, to pin pointing specific areas to be improved upon, DLC provides both turn key solutions, as well as specific trouble shooting, through to exiting business; 

DLC are able to review financial performance and operations flow, to diagnose problem areas that require improvement. Key steps to achieve within a project time frame would be issued after a thorough review.

DLC can also stay on board as a coach for the execution of the plan, helping to set the new structure in place, and training the team to adapt to the new system.
